First Thoughts

Well here's where it starts...we'll see where it goes. I intend this space to be my place to travel back to the "old" WDW in my memories. Of course it won't always be focussed on what used to be, but that's probably where I'll start.

My first trip to WDW was in December of 1973, a mere 10 days before "Pirates" opened. I was 12 years old at the time, and I was in heaven. Having dreamed of going to DL, I couldn't believe that here on the East Coast, we finally had a version that I might be able to visit every couple of years. Little did I know how much a part of my life WDW would be, and how Disney in general would affect my life. As I happen to be in a bit of retirement mode right now (we just sold one family business and intend to open a new one in about a year), I've got time to do some housecleaning of sorts. I've got quite a collection of WDW "stuff" going back to that first visit in '73, and I plan on putting it together in a more organized fashion. I'm hoping that each MK guidebook, each old Poloroid, inspires me to post to this blog. I'm sure it will. I may post once a week or once an hour, who knows, but most of all, I hope you enjoy my thoughts.
